Thing Four: Cloud Initiation
This is a small Thing focusing on using cloud storing websites and bookmarks. These are important sources for educators, as keeping things organized will help me to create a more effective classroom. By having my bookmarks all in one place, I won't have to waste time trying to find old sites. I could even create a bookmark page for my students that show popular resources, and a second for parents. In addition, having the cloud sharing keeps my files and documents stored and safe, provides a backup for when technology messes up, and helps me to stay organized with the use of folders. I will be using both in the future.
Bookmarking Tool
I have chosen to use Symabloo to store my education resources (it also comes with premade bookmarks for popular sites. To find my bookmarks select 'resources for education'). This will be a handy way to keep my bookmarks and resources organized.
Dropbox
The next task was to create an account with a cloud sharing site. I chose to use dropbox as I already have a google account. The screenshots below show the three folders that I made, as well as the document I uploaded to one of the folders.
